Lukuvuosimaksuvelvollinen on

• kolmansista maista tuleva opiskelija
  • muun maan kuin Euroopan unionin jäsenvaltion tai Islannin, Liechtensteinin, Norjan ja Sveitsin kansalainen

• opiskelijan oleskeluluvalla Suomessa oleskeleva

Lukuvuosimaksun käytännöt

Maksamalla lukuvuosimaksun eräpäivään mennessä varmistat opiskeluoikeutesi. Sen maksaminen on myös edellytys opiskelijaviisumille.

Maksu on suoritettava 14 vrk:n sisällä hyväksymisilmoituksesta.

Lukuvuosimaksu maksetaan koko lukuvuodeksi. Maksu voi muuttua vuosittain, mutta opintojen alkaessa määrätty maksu on sama koko opiskeluoikeuden ajan.

Jokainen lukuvuosimaksu maksetaan erikseen.

Kun olet jo meillä opiskelijana, seuraavan lukuvuoden maksu on maksettava 31.3. mennessä.

Jos haet ja sinut valitaan kesken lukuvuoden

• Jos aloitat kesken syyslukukauden, maksat koko lukuvuosimaksun
• Jos aloitat mihin tahansa aikaan kevätlukukaudella, maksat puolet kyseisen vuoden lukuvuosimaksusta

Jos opinnot keskeytyvät kesken lukuvuoden tai opiskelija eroaa kesken lukuvuoden, lukuvuosimaksuja ei palauteta.

• Jos lukio-opintosi valmistuvat syyslukukauden aikana, palautetaan maksamasi seuraavan kevätlukukauden maksu.

Ruokailu- ja majoitusmaksut

Ruokailumaksu on 270 €/ kk, laskutetaan puolen vuoden välein. Syyslukukausi maksetaan elokuussa. Kevätlukukausi maksetaan tammikuussa.

Majoitusmaksu on 250 €/ kk, laskutetaan puolen vuoden välein. Syyslukukausi maksetaan elokuussa. Kevätlukukausi maksetaan tammikuussa.

A student liable to pay tuition fees is a student

• coming from third countries
  • i.e. a citizen of a country other than a member state of the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland

• who resides in Finland with a student residence permit

Tuition fee policies

By paying your tuition fee by the due date, you secure your right to study. Payment is also a prerequisite for a student visa.

Payment must be made within 14 days of the acceptance notification.

The annual tuition fee is paid for the entire academic year. The fee may change annually, but the fee determined at the start of studies remains the same throughout the duration of the right to study.

Each academic year fee is paid separately.

Once you are already a student with us, the fee for the next academic year must be paid by March 31st.

If you apply and are selected mid-year

• If you start mid-fall semester, you pay the full tuition fee
• If you start anytime during the spring semester, you pay half of the tuition fee for that year

If studies are interrupted during the academic year or the student withdraws during the academic year, the tuition fees will not be refunded.

• If your upper secondary school studies are completed during the autumn semester, the fee you paid for the following spring semester will be refunded.

Meals and accommodation

Payment of meals is 270 € /month. Autumn semester has to be payed in August. Spring semester has to payed in January.

General requirements for a residence permit

• Valid national passport
• No entry ban
• Does not pose a threat to public order and security
• Does not pose a threat to public health
• Does not endanger Finland’s international relations

For everyone

• Certificate of acceptance or attendance from the educational institution
• Proof of sufficient financial means
• Insurance certificate
• Proof of payment of the tuition fee or scholarship
• Or funds available for payment

For applicants other than degree and exchange students

• Previous degree certificates
• Previous employment certificates

For minors

• Birth certificate
• Guardian’s consent for moving to Finland

Other important notes

• The application must be completed by the applicant themselves, and they must have access to it
• The use of agents is common
• A carefully completed application speeds up the processing of the application
• Translations must be in Finnish, Swedish, or English
• Particular care must be taken when providing proof of financial means
• The requirements for the permit must be fulfilled throughout the entire period of residence in Finland
