We have launched an upper secondary school exchange programme, and we would love to invite you to experience a full academic year in Finland – one of the happiest countries in the world.

In Finland, every season looks and feels completely different.

In winter, you can experience landscapes covered in snow and discover what a real Finnish winter is like. In spring, nature comes alive again. Summer brings long, bright days, while in autumn the forests transform into a spectacular celebration of colour.

Everyday life in Finland gives you room to breathe.

Here, people value nature, clean air, safety, tranquillity and a slower pace of life – but also the freedom to spend your time doing the things you enjoy.

You will have the opportunity to slow down, try something new and discover your own way of living.

Our school is a small, idyllic and dynamic upper secondary school in Southern Finland, only about two hours from Helsinki.

Here, you are not just a visitor.

You become part of the school community.

You can study a wide range of subjects, including:

• mathematics and natural sciences
• languages
• humanities and social sciences
• and many other interesting subjects and study modules.

Together with your teacher, you can plan your studies around your own interests.

You will receive a certificate for the studies you complete, and where possible, your studies can be recognised as part of your education in your home country.

Everything Close at Hand

Your studies are free of charge during your exchange year.

If you wish, you can live in the student residence hall on our campus, where meals are also provided.

Your school, accommodation, meals and new international community are all close to one another.

And you don’t have to navigate your new life alone.

You will have support from teachers, your group advisor, the school social worker, the dormitory supervisor and other students.

On campus, you will also meet other international students, most of whom come from outside Europe.

One year can bring you friendships that last long after you return home from Finland.

An exchange year is more than a trip to another country.

It is an opportunity to live everyday life in a completely new way.

You may learn a new language or improve the language skills you already have. You will discover a new culture, learn to navigate unfamiliar situations and become more independent.
